Why WE Honor Her

Ana Deutsch is the co-founder and clinical director of the Los Angeles-based Program for Torture Victims. Founded in 1980 as the first program of its kind, the nonprofit organization provides medical, psychological and case management services to survivors of torture who find their way to California. Program for Torture Victims was founded to help the healing process and to inform the public about torture and its consequences. Through the program, Ana has helped thousands of victims rebuild their lives and contribute to society.
