Jump to EndI'm 28 years old and have been out of college for about three years now and since it took me so long to finish college for many personal reasons (financially to be specific), I realized something, there aren't enough colleges and universities who really encourage the youth to become entrepreneurs. Why is that?
We go to college to all learn the basics or as college students call it, "general studies" then we get into our major classes and then what? Whether you major in engineering, healthcare, marketing, etc I can't find one school that focuses its efforts to students at large that you should be your own millionaire, not make someone else a millionaire. But don't get me wrong this isn't about the money, this is about achieving big goals that will eventually make you money because we should all know that anyone who finds their true calling in life, their passion always loves what they do and eventually make a lot of money doing it. Its almost like that was the last thing on their mind while achieving these goals. I don't know I might be wrong maybe that was their goal from the beginning but it just doesn't seem that way, look at Oprah, Warren Buffet, Paul Newman, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Eric Schmidt and Larry Page, CEO and Co-Founder of Google, or Mark Zuckerberg, CEO and Founder of Facebook. I think all of these individuals had something in common, they all found their passion (becoming entrepreneurs) and making lots of money in the end.
I think we need to really start thinking about talking to our children about this because its an important role in their future. They shouldn't become a regular person because even the regular person doesn't want to be called a "regular person", we should never settle, we should never accept what's given to us but on the contrary, we should strive, challenge and critically think all of the problems in the world and through that we could maybe create more entrepreneurs.

Hopefully colleges and universities teach us how to live not how to make a living. By graduation we should know how much we don't know, and where to go to learn it.
