Dove created the Campaign for Real Beauty to make more women feel beautiful everyday by widening today's stereotypical view of beauty. The campaign was created after commissioning a global study that validated our hypothesis that women believe society - fueled by mainstream media - has a limiting and unattainable view of beauty. In fact, according to our research only 2% of women around the world describe themselves as beautiful.
Dove is committed to freeing the next generation from beauty stereotypes and established The Dove Self-Esteem Fund as an agent of change to inspire and educate girls and young women about a wider definition of beauty. The Dove Self-Esteem Fund is a private fund committed to help girls build positive self-esteem and a healthy body image, with a goal of reaching 5 million girls globally by 2010. The Dove Self-Esteem Fund has already reached 2 million young women with self-esteem programming.
We are excited to support The Women's Conference and look forward to working together to empower women and help them reach their full potential in life.
